Patsy Sainz opens a catering business

As if Patsy Sainz, owner of the Depot Restaurant in Dolores, isnít busy enough. But Sainz recently announced the opening of her new catering business, The Mustard Seed Catering.

Sainz is still busy at The Depot, but said the additional business will give her a chance to cook for others the food that she loves to cook.

Sainz said the catering business will specialize in American and Italian cuisine with items such as smoked brisket with homemade barbecue sauce and bow tie grilled chicken pasta.

I was recently informed of a local program through the Cortez Rotary Foundation and a national program that will give every child in Montezuma County under the age of 5 free books. The program is Dolly Partonís Imagination Library and you can sign up for free. Contact a Cortez Rotary Club member or your local preschool.

Donít forget the ski swap this weekend in Dolores. It is a great opportunity to get new to you equipment or get rid of your old equipment. Remember, the swap is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dolores Community Center and there will be the opportunity to buy baked goods as well to help support the Dolores High School boys basketball team.
